coping with depression it isnt easy some days ur gonna be great other days u arent.
but how to cope 1. way is to find something ur very interested in and do it= maybe u like music or reading if either one of them u like to do then best advice do it. maybe write a book about what u want to see in ur life create a perfect character that has ur dream life. just dont give up

I struggle with depression too. I’d say what helps me to cope is prayer, (whenever I am really down, I remind myself of the Truth- how I’m never alone, I’m made w purpose and known) and letting myself rest w out worry. Let a family member know I’m not in the best place, & know that it won’t be fixed all today: but each day giving myself a list of goals taking care of myself and things I’m interested in is som I added that takes time but I enjoy. And guess what? It dosnt need to be any length, just write out general ways we as humans take care of ourselves (shower, eat - which make sure you’re eating pls! Even just snacking) and my interests (draw something, read one Bible chapter, 5 min of peace, go on walk, sing karaoke) and no matter how ambitious or little it is, I don’t beat myself up for what I do or don’t do. Cause it’s not meant to get them all done, but help us keep going. Biggest thing is to give yourself grace- these feelings are real and valid, this place you are in you won’t stay in forever. Be kind to you, even when you don’t believe it and it’s tough. Even the bad things take time to get to their worst, but just keeping the mindset of not giving up and giving yourself grace are great places to start. Also commend you for reaching out, it is harder than most would realize esp if you experienced being shut down.
